Il Design Stone Project ha l'obiettivo di trasformare e innovare il workshop di lavorazione del marmo di Minucciano, rafforzando il legame con il territorio della Garfagnana e creando nuove opportunità artistiche ed economiche. Il progetto introduce un nuovo approccio, in cui gli artisti non progettano più le loro opere da remoto, ma vivono un'esperienza immersiva nel territorio, esplorando la cultura e il paesaggio locali per creare opere che ne riflettano l'identità e il valore.
Un aspetto innovativo del progetto è l'introduzione di un modello economico che incentiva la produzione di opere replicabili tramite macchine a controllo numerico, riducendo la dipendenza dalla lavorazione manuale. Inoltre, viene creato un database digitale delle opere realizzate, permettendo a collezionisti, aziende e istituzioni di consultarle, ordinarle e riprodurle, creando così un'economia che supporta il workshop e la comunità locale. Il progetto è accompagnato da una nuova brand identity che include un nome, un logo e un sito web rinnovati. Il passaggio da Digital Stone Project a Design Stone Project sottolinea il legame con il territorio e la centralità del design e della progettazione. Il nuovo logo si ispira alla tradizione marmorea e alla Garfagnana, mentre il sito web offre informazioni dettagliate sul workshop e sulle opere realizzate.
Il Design Stone Project rappresenta un'evoluzione significativa che combina arte, tecnologia, tradizione e innovazione, creando un ponte tra la comunità locale e la creatività internazionale, con un impatto culturale ed economico sostenibile nel tempo.

The Design Stone Project was created with the goal of transforming and innovating the current marble workshop located in Minucciano, strengthening its connection to the Garfagnana area and generating new artistic and economic opportunities. This project introduces a new organizational structure aimed at overcoming the limitations of the current model, where artists design their works remotely before arriving on site – thus limiting their relationship with the local context and community. The new approach proposes an inversion of this process: participants will engage in an immersive experience in the region, exploring local culture and landscape in order to conceive works that fully express their identity and value.
An innovative aspect of the project is the introduction of an economic model that encourages the creation of reproducible works using CNC (computer numerical control) machines, reducing the reliance on manual labor and establishing a digital archive of the artworks produced. This archive will allow collectors, companies, and institutions to consult, order, and reproduce the works, thus generating an economy capable of supporting both the workshop and the local community. The project is accompanied by a new brand identity that includes a renewed name, logo, and website. The transition from Digital Stone Project to Design Stone Project marks a clear shift, emphasizing the connection with the territory and the desire to place design and planning at the heart of the initiative. The new logo incorporates visual elements inspired by the marble tradition and the Garfagnana region, while the website provides detailed information about the workshop and the works created.
The Design Stone Project thus represents a significant evolution that not only enhances art and technology but also seeks to create a bridge between tradition and innovation, between the local community and international creativity, with a sustainable cultural and economic impact over time.
