Our project for the Museum of the Identity of Alta Garfagnana "Olimpio Cammelli" was born with the goal of enhancing and preserving the history, traditions, and culture of Minucciano and its territory. We created a dedicated website for the museum, designed as a digital archive accessible to everyone, where it is possible to explore the richness of the local heritage through documents, images, testimonies, and historical insights. Our work aimed to address the need to preserve and make accessible the memories of the past, creating a bridge between generations and ensuring that local knowledge and customs are not lost. The museum's website was conceived as a reference point for residents and visitors alike, offering a comprehensive overview of various aspects of local culture, from craftsmanship to popular festivals and everyday life of the past. Thanks to online dissemination, Minucciano's heritage can now be discovered and appreciated even by those far away, helping to spread awareness of the beauty and richness of this territory.
One of the main objectives of our project was to make information accessible in a simple and intuitive way through a modern and interactive platform. The digital archive includes sections dedicated to historical documents, vintage photography, and oral traditions, featuring interviews with different generations of quarry workers sharing their experiences inside the quarries. Additionally, the website offers a detailed profile of Olimpio Cammelli, who significantly contributed to the knowledge and preservation of local history.
The website was developed following sustainable web guidelines, adopting solutions to reduce the environmental impact of online browsing. Among the implemented choices, we integrated a dark mode feature that reduces screen energy consumption, and optimized all images by compressing them without quality loss to ensure faster loading times and lower network resource usage. In this way, the digital archive not only preserves Minucciano's historical memory but does so responsibly and with environmental awareness. Through this project, we demonstrated how technology can serve historical memory, enabling a small local museum to reach a broader audience and actively participate in preserving the cultural identity of Garfagnana. We are proud of the work accomplished and confident that the museum's website will continue to be a living and dynamic resource, constantly evolving thanks to the contributions of all those who wish to enrich it with new testimonies and content.

A tal fine, è stato sviluppato un sito web dedicato, concepito come un archivio digitale aperto al pubblico, che consente di esplorare in modo completo il patrimonio locale attraverso documenti storici, immagini d’epoca, testimonianze e approfondimenti culturali. Il sito web si configura come un punto di riferimento per la comunità locale e per i visitatori, offrendo un accesso facilitato alle risorse relative alla storia e alla cultura di Minucciano, nonché alla figura di <strong>Olimpio Cammelli</strong>, il cui contributo è stato fondamentale per la conservazione della memoria storica della zona. Grazie alla sua accessibilità online, il sito consente anche a chi si trova lontano dal territorio di scoprire e apprezzare la ricchezza culturale e storica di Minucciano, ampliando la visibilità del patrimonio locale.</p><p>Un aspetto centrale del progetto è stato quello di rendere le informazioni fruibili in modo semplice ed intuitivo, utilizzando una piattaforma moderna e interattiva. L’archivio digitale è suddiviso in diverse sezioni, tra cui documenti storici, fotografie d'epoca e registrazioni orali che raccolgono le esperienze di cavatori locali. Il sito fornisce anche un approfondimento sulla figura di<strong> Olimpio Cammelli</strong>, mettendo in evidenza il suo ruolo di custode della storia locale.</p><p>Per quanto riguarda gli aspetti tecnici, il sito è stato progettato seguendo principi di sostenibilità, con l'adozione di soluzioni volte a ridurre l’impatto ambientale della navigazione online. Tra le scelte implementate si segnala l'introduzione di una modalità dark mode, che permette di ridurre il consumo energetico degli schermi, e l'ottimizzazione delle immagini per garantire tempi di caricamento più rapidi e un minor impatto sulle risorse di rete. Il progetto ha così dimostrato come la tecnologia possa essere utilizzata in modo efficace per supportare la conservazione della memoria storica e consentire a un piccolo museo locale di raggiungere un pubblico più ampio. L’archivio digitale, pensato come una risorsa in continua evoluzione, potrà essere arricchito nel tempo con nuove testimonianze e contenuti, diventando un elemento dinamico e duraturo nella promozione e conservazione dell’identità culturale della Garfagnana.</p><p><a target=\"_blank\" href=\"https://decidim-b4m.s3.eu-west-1.amazonaws.com/proposal_pdfs/presentazione_Archivio+digitale+per+il+Museo+dellIdentita%CC%80+dellAlta+Garfagnana+Olimpio+Cammelli.pdf\"><strong>Visiona il progetto - </strong><em><strong>Archivio digitale per il Museo dell’Identità dell’Alta Garfagnana “Olimpio Cammelli”</strong></em></a></p>"},"title":{"bg":"","bs":"","el":"","en":"11 - Digital Archive for the “Olimpio Cammelli” Museum of the Identity of Alta Garfagnana (Martina Buonamassa and Angela Lucia)","it":"11 - Archivio digitale per il Museo dell’Identità dell’Alta Garfagnana “Olimpio Cammelli” (Martina Buonamassa e Angela Lucia)"}}
