City of Sarajevo - Breka: The Green Square of Togetherness

Breka: Green Square of Togetherness is a participatory urban regeneration pilot in Sarajevo, transforming a long-neglected space within a 1980s residential complex into a functional, inclusive and climate-responsive public area. Through workshops, surveys and a design competition, the City co-created a vision of a neighborhood "urban living room" with play areas, seating, a local square and identity elements, demonstrating how public spaces can be reactivated through participation and NEB values
