STITCHED TRACES is a project aimed at recovering and enhancing the elements that constitute the identity of Minucciano, a municipality that boasts a strong connection with its landscape, history and marble. The event aims to overcome the isolation of the town, connecting it better with other strategic points in the territory, such as Lake Gramolazzo and the productive areas linked to marble extraction. The main objective is to create an immersive experience that makes visitors rediscover the cultural, natural and productive heritage of Minucciano.

The event aims to strengthen the bond between the village and the community, enhancing local traditions through the opening of traditional homes and workshops, where visitors can experience the culture, cuisine and rituals of the village. Additionally, the project includes the creation of pedestrian and cycling routes connecting the town center to Lake Gramolazzo, culminating in the creation of an open-air museum dedicated to marble. This area will be equipped with interactive installations, light and sound effects, and a space dedicated to reusing marble scraps as souvenirs. The event path includes various moments, including:

  • Village entrance, with marble signage providing information and an event brochure.

  • Village exploration through the opening of traditional homes and workshops, visits to the Church of San Michele and the Bell Tower.

  • A trekking path of approximately 7 km connecting Minucciano to Lake Gramolazzo, with marble and steel signs that guide visitors and show their position through a symbolic stitching thread.

  • At Lake Gramolazzo, cultural and natural experiences are offered, such as marble crafting workshops, tastings of local products and guided tours.

  • The culmination of the route is the open-air museum, which celebrates marble with interactive installations and a section dedicated to recovering marble scraps, transformable into personalized souvenirs.

In summary, STITCHED TRACES is not just an event, but a model of territorial enhancement that aims to create new connections, strengthen the identity of Minucciano and enhance local resources in an innovative and sustainable way.
