Marble in the Guts is a project that invites to discover marble quarries as spaces that unite tradition and contemporary art. The quarry becomes a stage where the past is not a limit, but a foundation for new artistic visions. Marble, rooted in the territory, transforms into a symbol of resilience and innovation, capable of crossing time.

The project offers a sensory experience that stimulates reflection on stone as a story that evolves. Marble in the Guts challenges convention and invites to reconsider the relationship with the past, rediscovering a deep bond with earth and art. The space hosts public and private events, enriched by modern technologies such as projections and video mapping, creating a unique visual experience, especially after sunset. The Digital Stone Project demonstrates how such an approach can be replicated in the future.

To reduce environmental impact, the project uses minimal printed materials, limiting itself to bilingual banners and a magazine collecting the projects. Websites and social networks are tools to keep the public updated, also offering a digital archive. In conclusion, the project invites to rediscover the connection between art, marble and territory, transforming marble into a symbol of innovation and transformation, a language that tells stories across centuries.

Our project for the Museum of the Identity of Alta Garfagnana "Olimpio Cammelli" was born with the goal of enhancing and preserving the history, traditions, and culture of Minucciano and its territory. We created a dedicated website for the museum, designed as a digital archive accessible to everyone, where it is possible to explore the richness of the local heritage through documents, images, testimonies, and historical insights. Our work aimed to address the need to preserve and make accessible the memories of the past, creating a bridge between generations and ensuring that local knowledge and customs are not lost. The museum's website was conceived as a reference point for residents and visitors alike, offering a comprehensive overview of various aspects of local culture, from craftsmanship to popular festivals and everyday life of the past. Thanks to online dissemination, Minucciano's heritage can now be discovered and appreciated even by those far away, helping to spread awareness of the beauty and richness of this territory.

One of the main objectives of our project was to make information accessible in a simple and intuitive way through a modern and interactive platform. The digital archive includes sections dedicated to historical documents, vintage photography, and oral traditions, featuring interviews with different generations of quarry workers sharing their experiences inside the quarries. Additionally, the website offers a detailed profile of Olimpio Cammelli, who significantly contributed to the knowledge and preservation of local history.

The website was developed following sustainable web guidelines, adopting solutions to reduce the environmental impact of online browsing. Among the implemented choices, we integrated a dark mode feature that reduces screen energy consumption, and optimized all images by compressing them without quality loss to ensure faster loading times and lower network resource usage. In this way, the digital archive not only preserves Minucciano's historical memory but does so responsibly and with environmental awareness. Through this project, we demonstrated how technology can serve historical memory, enabling a small local museum to reach a broader audience and actively participate in preserving the cultural identity of Garfagnana. We are proud of the work accomplished and confident that the museum's website will continue to be a living and dynamic resource, constantly evolving thanks to the contributions of all those who wish to enrich it with new testimonies and content.
